Chichicastenango – Lake Atitlan
After breakfast, around 8:00 a.m. we will head to Chichicastenango (2.5 hour) to enjoy the multicolored ethnic market, where the scent of incense and the people’s mysticism promises a unique atmosphere, bargaining of prices, and a church with mixed Mayan and Catholic traditions.
This is a market that every Thursday and Sunday appears and disappears as one of the ancient commercial traditions of the Guatemalan highlands and that now delights the visitors.
In the afternoon, transfer to Panajachel. (1 hour)

Lake Atitlan Tour
This morning you will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min approx.) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where you can visit the women’s textile cooperative to see hand weaving and the natural dye process.
Visit the studios of local naif painters, and the then continue to the village of Santiago. After lunch (not included) you will continue your tour to the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya.

In the morning visit Iximche in Tecpán. Iximché was a Maya Cakchiquel city founded in 1463, less than a century before the arrival of the Spaniards, which played a decisive role in the Spanish conquest of this region of Guatemala. Then continue to Guatemala City airport to take your flight to Flores, Peten.

After breakfast, we depart for Tikal National Park, where you will be guided along the paths of the City of the Voices, Tikal, which is one of the most beautiful Mayan sites and a unique open-laboratory of flora and fauna, representative of the tropics.

Yaxha is located on the banks of the Yaxha Lake; here we will walk through their causeways, temples and plazas, while learning about the fantastic Mayan history.After lunch transfer to the border with Belize and continue to your hotel in San Ignacio Belize.

The following terms and conditions apply to all Tours organized by Mayan World Tour & Travel.
For this purpose, the term “Tours” shall include all room accommodation bookings at hotels, resorts, excursions, tours, transfers, rentals, etc., that have been organized on your behalf by Mayan World Travel.
Payment for Trip:
We do ask for deposits and we kindly request that payment is made in the following manner:
25% of the total cost of the booking is required at the time booking is confirmed. 100% of the total cost of the booking on or before 30 days prior to departure for Guatemalan tours and 45 days prior to departure for Belize and Honduras tours (This is so because some services require full payment to confirm booking).

Cancellations and Refunds:
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip, the following fees will apply computed as of the date of receipt of written cancellation notice.
Minimum fee:
30 days or more prior to arrival:
All non refundable deposits, surcharges and deposits will be charged. A cancellation fee of 10% of the entire trip cost will be charged
30-15 days prior to arrival:
All non refundable deposits, surcharges and deposits will be charged. A cancellation fee of 25% of the entire trip cost will be charged
15 days or less:
All non refundable deposits, surcharges and deposits will be charged 100% of trip cost.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
We are not responsible for changes which arise as a result of events outside of our control, such as technical or maintenance problems with transportation, changes imposed by re-scheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline, or main charter company, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disasters, bad weather or terrorist activity.
Insurance:
* We highly recommend that all clients purchase trip cancellation insurance.
It is a condition of the agreement between us that you take out adequate Vacation insurance against cancellation charges, unexpected curtailment of your vacation, medical expenses arising overseas including repatriation, loss or damage to luggage and personal liability claims against you.
Should you fail to secure such any of central American countries Travel Insurance coverage prior to your Travel, then you accept full responsibility for yourself and all of the members of your party, and indemnify Mayan World Travel Agency and representatives (as applicable) for any and all costs that may arise, which would otherwise have been met, had such Central America travel insurance been in force.
