Tikal One Day
Undoubtedly, Tikal is the most impressive Maya city.
 
Located within the Maya Biosphere Reserve, in the lowlands of the Northernmost Guatemalan department called Petén, the archaeological site covers an area of 575 km (222 miles).
It contains over 3,000 different structures, all of them dispersed in the most beautiful jungle of tropical America.
Tikal National Park was founded in 1848 by people who were occupied by extracting resin of the zapodillatree, in 1955 it was declared national park and in 1979 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
 
The National Park is 576 sq km and contains over 3000 structures spread around different plazas like the acropolis, ceremonial temples, residences, ball courts and astronomical complexes. The natural surroundings of the maya city are a laboratory of fauna and flora which is a perfect proof of a humid subtropical forest

Ceibal One Day
Located in the southern region of Peten, on the banks of the Passion River, the Maya city of Ceibal is adorned with magnificent stealae. Its fertile soil supports exhuberant tropical vegetation.
 
During this tour you travel on board of a minibus for about one hour from Flores to Sayaxche. You will then continue on a boat from Sayaxche to Ceibal on the Passion River for another hour. The walk from the river to the archaeological site´s central plaza is about half an hour in the jungle
 
This place that rests at the edge of Rio La Pasion present an opportunity to enjoy  tropical flora and fauna.

After an hour for the river we will initiate our hike at ceiba l's Mayan jungle to enjoy this  forest that hides  beautiful Stelas representative of the Mayan art, right after finalizing our hike we will enjoy a lunch at the edge of of the river and then we will return.

Yaxha One Day
The third largest Maya City after El Mirador and Tikal, Yaxhá is located on the shore of a lake with the same name.
 
It holds about 500 excavated structures, connected by causeways and trails under a green tropical forest. In 2006, Survivor Guatemala, one of the well-known survival contests, was held at this archaeological site.
 
Yaxhá: This important ceremonial site is located by the lake known by the same name and is connected with Flores in the east by a 80 km road of which 70 km are paved while the last 10 km are sandy roads. Yaxhá means "green water". It is a Maya city of monumental magnitude with over 500 structures.
 
Situated on a hill, north of the lake, it occupies from east till west 3 km. The site is characterized by large artificial platforms, causeways and roads connecting different architectural complexes of the city and the lake.

AGUATECA:
The archaeological site of Aguateca is located about 15 Kms (9 miles) from Sayaxché, very close to the Petexbatun creek. At this site, there are no impressive temples or palaces, but you will see magnificent stelae and a geological fault that was used as a natural defense for the city.
 
One of main interests of the journey to the site is the vast diversity of birds typical from the tropical rainforest, found along the river.

Aguateca: The Aguateca ruines can be found at 15 km from the Sayaxhé village, just passing the lake Petexbatún, the Tamarindo and Aguateca kreeks.

In Aguateca it are not the temples and palaces that impress by their magnitude, but the magnificent stelae and a beautiful tropical forest as well as a geological gash that serves as a natural defense of the site

Dos Pilas One Day

UAXACTUN:
Only 24 km (15 miles) North of Tikal, the Maya city of Uaxactun was one of the most important astronomical centers for the Mayan civilization.
 
This city is a perfect place for the observation of solstices and equinoxes.The archaeological site is currently located on both sides of the old airstrip within the local community living there.
